Security & privacy by design

We are committed to the security of the data you rely on to make more perfect software. As part of this commitment, we use industry-standard security technologies, a comprehensive set of policies and controls, and maintain a culture of security throughout New Relic. Our goal is to give our customers confidence in the security of the data they send us.

Authentication, Authorization, and Access Controls

Authenticate users with SAML single sign-on, and manage theirroles and permissions to directly authorize who can access or change your data and account settings. Provision them from your company’s identity provider with Automated User Management. View audit logs to view changes to your New Relic account.

Information Security

Our Information Security team collaborates relentlessly across the entire company to ensure the appropriate security measures and internal policies are in place to protect your data and information. Learn about vulnerabilities, remediation strategies, and more in our security bulletins.

Data Encryption

We protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data using industry standard encryption protocols such as TLS (Transport Layer Security). New Relic uses other measures, such as encryption at rest, to prevent unauthorized access, threats, or theft. Eligible customers can leverage additional security with account-level encryption.

Physical Security

Our Global Safety & Security Team deploys multiple layers of physical controls and monitoring to help safeguard all data, equipment, employees, facilities, systems, and company assets. Read our Security & Privacy Handbook and New Relic Security Documentation to learn more.

We take personal data privacy and protection seriously, following an industry-standard, privacy-by-design approach.

Respect for the individual

We collect the minimum personal data by default yet provide you with the ability to configure controls for the collection of additional information.
